Day 1Home-country– Tashkent

Arrival to Tashkent.  Pick up at the airport, transfert to hotel***.

Guided tour of the city : Madrassah and Mosque Barak Khan,Zangiata comlex ,Mausoleum Sheykh Zaynuddin Bobo,Ensemble of Shaykhantur ,Kaffal Al-Shashi mausoleum . The dinner. Overnight.

Day 2Tashkent- Samarkand (300km)

Capital of Timour (Tamerlan), Samarkand was the principal city of the Sogdiane antique. It thrived with the crossroads of the commercial main roads coming from China, of Siberia, of Perse and Occident, to the surge of the Mongolian hordes of Gengis Khan which destroyed the city before rebuilding it on ashes of the suburbs.

The hour of glory of Samarkand occurred two centuries later, when Timour made the capital of its empire. the marvelous madrasas of the Registan (XV-XV-XVIIe century) decorated with dazzling mosaic, will enable us to better determine the multiple influences which mark the evolution of timouride architecture.

After the famous mosque of Bibi Khanum, it is the glory of Timourides which we will celebrate in front of the mausoleum of Shakhi- Zinda. At side of the mausoleum of Roukhabad raises up the Gour-Emir, the tomb of the greatest conqueror contains the remaining of Timour, his sons and his grandsons.

The Museum of Samarkand presents us the history of the Central Asia and the observatory of Oulougbek (XVe), built on the Kouhak mount shows us the attractive personality of the grandson of Timour, sovereign, poet, philosopher and astronomer. Dinner. Overnight.

Day 3Samarkand

Continuation excursion program in Samarkand:

  • Graves of Khadrat Ubaydulla Akhrara Samarkandi
  • Imam Ismail Al-Bukhari (collector of khadis «Al-Jami as-Sahih») grave
  • Prophet Doniyar grave
  • Mausoleum Shakhi-Zinda (11-20 cc.) — the grave of Kusam, son of Abbas — the cousin of Prophet Mukhammed
  • Mausoleum Rukhabad — the grave of Sheykh Burkhaneddin Klich Sagardji
  • Grave of Khodka Abdi-Darun

Day 4Samarkand –Bukhara

After the breakfast transfert to Bukhara.270km. Accommodation at the hotel in Bukhara. Lunch.
This city, located in the valley of Zerafshan, always keeps its authentic charm. It was one of the significant cities of the Road of Silk, where all the tradesmen precipitated to sell their goods, in particular the carpets and the jewels.

Although Islam was born elsewhere, it is Bukhara which was the hearth of development of this religion. The city shelters hundreds of Islamic schools, the madrasas, and as many mosques and tombs of saints, such as Bahouviddin Naqshbandy who was the famous creator one of the branches of Suffism.

Day 5Bukhara

Breakfast. At this day we continue our visit in Bukhara the Saint. Visitng of khanako (place where sufi lived and gathered together to pray, to meditate, to discuss about God and True Path):

  • Khanaka Fayziobod
  • Mosque and khanaka Khodja Zaynuddin
  • Khanaka Bakharzi and Buyan Kuli Khan

Lunch.

City tour:

  • Chasma Ayub Mosque (12-16 cc)
  • Samanid’s Mausoleum (10 c)
  • Necropolis Chor Bakr (10-16 cc.) – huge complex belonged to powerful religious rulers of Bukhara- Djuybar sheyks, ruled ‘nakshbandiya’ Sufi branch in 16th c. The dinner.

Day 6Bukhara

Breakfast.This day we will do a piligrim tour to 7 graves of great Sufi teachers:

  • Khodja Alaud Daula Abdul Khalik Gijduvani (the founder of “khodjagon” sufi branch)
  • Khodja Mukhammad Orif Rigvari
  • Khodja Makhmud Anjir Fagnavi
  • Khodja Azizan Ali ar Romitani
  • Khodja Mukhammad Baba as-Sammasi
  • Khodja Said Amir al Kulal
  • Imamu Tarikatti Shakh Mukhammad Bahau-d Din An Nakshbandi al-Uvaysi al Bukhari (the founder of “nakshbandiya” branch)

We will visit graves of this people and talk with their followers, listen to mystic stories about them.

Dinner. Overnight.

Day 7Bukhara-Tashkent

Transfer to Bukhara neighborhood to visit the real places where people during the centuries get treatment with water from the holy sources next to the Sufis graves.

The women Sufi’s khonaka Kiz Bibi, where 40 virgins lived and where woman can get treatment from barrenness. Visiting of Hodja Ubbon Mausoleum, Hodja Zaffaron’s Tomb in the desert places.

Flight to Tashkent. Accommodation at the hotel.

Day 8 Tashkent –Home-country

Transfer to airport, flight to homeland.
